The Guyana Agricultural and General Workers Union (GAWU) today (August 03, 2023) drew its raffle aimed at raising funds in support of its 22nd Delegates’ Congress being held later this month. The raffle was supported by union members and others throughout the country and was very successful with all tickets being sold. The Union was assisted in drawing the raffle by students who received bursary awards from the GAWU.

Winning ticket holders are asked to contact the Union through its offices or field officers to verify their tickets and arrange for their prizes to be collected. The Union also wishes to express its appreciation to all those who supported the raffle which will aid its Congress.
At this time, the GAWU is advancing final preparations towards its Congress on August 23 and 24, 2023. The two-day event will feature several speakers and provide an opportunity for delegates and observers to review the work of the Union since its 21st Congress. The highest forum of the Union is a milestone event for the GAWU in its history and we anticipate success.
